BASSETERRE, St Kitts (WINN) — There are more competitors in the market, offering their own version of the citizenship by investment (CBI) program pioneered by St Kitts and Nevis, but Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris at a recent press conference announced that the Federation has approved more than 4,000 new applicants over the past three years, bringing the total to over 16,000.

The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is putting finishing touches on preparations for this month’s highly anticipated 2018 Caribbean Investment Summit at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort May 16-18. The summit is expected to draw more than 250 attendees, including heads of government and heads of citizenship by investment units from Caribbean countries with Citizenship by Investment Programs (CIPs), namely Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and host country St. Kitts and Nevis.

The world's first citizenship by investment program in St Kitts and Nevis has launched a new fund to boost investment in the prospering Caribbean nation. The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has announced that a new program called the Sustainable Growth Fund will be launched as a successor to the Hurricane Relief Investment Fund at the end of March 2018.

On February 19th 2018 , the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Program has released a final reminder to those interested in investing in second citizenship under the temporarily reduced investment module – the Hurricane Relief Fund – (HRF) scheduled to end on 30 March 2018. Established after a challenging hurricane season, the Hurricane Relief Fund has been a popular temporary option for prospective citizens around the world.
